Anita's Arrowhead Block

I've had a very productive Weekend.  I love having that extra day!  I finished the quilt top called Anita's Arrowhead.  This is the class I took at Road to California.  Anita Grossman Solomon is the designer of this block.  The Orange Blossom Quilt Guild has asked me to give a Trunk Show on June 27th. And I will be teaching this Block on Saturday, June 29th.

This is her Book called Rotary Cutting Revolution.  It's a really good book with lots of cool blocks.

Here is a closer view of the Block.

My husband asked me what size quilt this was.  And I told him it was a Throw Size.  He asked me to put Flannel on the back.  Now Larry rarely asks me to make anything.  And Flannel was not my first choice.  But I thought I would make him happy and use Flannel.  I have had this Floral Flannel piece for several years.  :)  You know how that is.  So this will be the back.  It will work.  And I will make him happy too.

On Sunday I had some time to play with my new rulers I bought at Road to Ca.  I went over to Diane Mitchell's house and we both played a bit.

Here are the Prairie Points.

And here are the Scallops.  The Rulers are called Quick Point Rulers.  They are very fun and easy to use.

Back to work tomorrow.  This will be a busy week.  Tomorrow is a Retirement Lunch for a co-worker.  Wednesday is Larry and my 20th Wedding Anniversary.  Thursday is another Retirement Party.  Dinner this time.  And Saturday I will be teaching Basic Free Motion Feathers at Thimble Towne.  So I better get a good nights sleep!

  3. You have been busy! My goodness. Love the quilt. And the scallops are adorable. I love it and I can see this working right in a lot of your quilts. I may (will) have to borrow the ruler.

    Happy Anniversary!
