Road 2 Ca 2013

Road to Ca 2013 was a great show.  And I had a wonderful time with good friends.  We did a lot of looking at Beautiful Quilts, Shopping and eating.  All of it was wonderful and shared with my Quilty Friends.

I took a class from Anita Grossman Solomon.  It was called the Arrowhead Block.  She was a great teacher and she ended up being a friend too.  She went to Dinner that night with us.  We had a total of 10 at our table.  It was great fun and great food too.

This is her Arrowhead Quilt .  And below are the Blocks I made along with some of my fabric and Anita's Book.  I want to make ever block in the book.

I also did some shopping. :)
 Fabric and Thread.
Pattern and Fabric for a Bag.
 Patterns, Books and Fabric Kit.
Pattern, Thread, Needles and a Threader.
 Rulers to make wonderful things.
More Rulers to make wonderful things.

It's always fun to go.  But it's sure good to be home with my Hubby and my Doggies.

Thanks for looking.

Easy Street

Here is the Easy Street Mystery Quilt I've been working on.  I didn't get the rows sewed together yet.  But I have it up on my design wall.  It's a big one!  It's supposed to be 86"X86" before borders.  And I have borders that I want to use.  We'll see how it looks after I get it sewed together.

This is the first Mystery Quilt I have done and It was fun!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

I had a wonderful Christmas at my House.  With my Husband, Mother, Sister, Brother-In-Law and Nephew.  We ate way too much.  But that's okay for one day.  Í got back on the Weight Watcher Wagon.  And it's back to counting points and weighing in every week.  I've lost 15lbs.  And have more than that to go."

This is a Mystery Quilt that I've been working on.  It's called Easy Street by Bonnie Hunter of Quiltville.  She is a great Scrappy Quilter.  I love her quilts.  I chose different colors than she was working with.  I had a Kit that I bought about 6 years ago.  I decided that I would never make it.  So I used it as my Focus Fabrics.  I added some of my stash and I had to buy some light colors.  I never have enough lights.  I wish I had not used some of the dark greens.  But oh well.  I will like it good enough.  I have 15 more Block As.  And 8 more Block Bs.  I better get busy!
